Sales Policies
Quality Koi Company General Policy
- Once a purchased koi has left the farm the koi can not be returned for any reason to assure the safety of our koi from parasites and virus.
- All koi and keeping fees must be paid in full before the koi may leave the farm.
- Koi can be held for up to 30 days on a non refundable 50% deposit. Koi left longer the 30 days will incur additional keeping charges.
Health Policy
- After sold koi are harvested from the mud ponds, they must stay with Quality Koi Company for a settling and parasite treatment period, usually 30-60 days.
- All parasites when detected are removed before sale.
- If a koi develops a problem or dies within 14 days after collection from Quality Koi, we will assist in finding the reason and help resolve the problem. We reserve the right to refund or replace at our discretion.
Shipping Policy
- Quality Koi Company, Inc. has an airport to airport shipping policy
- We transport your koi to a previously arranged and approved airline cargo facility at Philadelphia International Airport. From the point of our transfer to the airlines the koi are insured, this is included in our shipping and handing fee.
- The client is responsible for collection at their designated airport within two hours of the flights arrival.
- A health guarantee is offered by Quality Koi Company, Inc. If your new koi dies within 72 hours after arrival due to health reasons, we will replace the koi at our discretion.
- Shipping charge for the koi will vary based on number of koi and weather conditions - via airline.
Azukari (keeping) Policy
Quality Koi Company, Inc. offers a guaranteed Koi Life and Health insurance policy for Koi kept by Quality Koi after initial purchase.
Koi Life and Health insurance policy covers: Natural death, development of tumor, eaten by predators, develops undesirable pattern changes, mistakes in sexing of the koi or any body deformities.
Quality Koi Company, Inc. will either:
- Refund the initial price of the koi paid by our client excluding any growing/keeping or insurance premiums, or
- Offer store credit (to be used on koi) for the total loss including all fees.
When Quality Koi Company, Inc. and our client enter into an agreement to grow a purchased koi for another summer and/or winter season we will offer our buyers an insurance policy for a premium, usually equal to the keeping fee for the age of the koi.
If our client chooses not to purchase the optional insurance policy for koi kept by Quality Koi Company we reserve the right not to replace or refund cost of the koi in the event of any of the above instances.
