Farm Policy
Quality Koi Company, Inc. offers a subsidized growing service for High Class Tategoi purchased from our farm. From May through October harvest, these koi are growing and developing in the same mud ponds as our koi. Our primary goal for all koi in the mud ponds is to achieve optimal growth. In order to accomplish this, we limit the number of koi in each pond. Approximately 10-20% of the total number of koi in each mud pond is a sold koi. Customers opting to take advantage of our growing service are doing so with the understanding that we can predict, but not guarantee, an amount of growth for an individual koi over the growing summer. There are a number of natural factors that are out of our control when placing a koi in a natural environment that could enhance or restrict the growth. With that in mind, Quality Koi Company takes all measures so that the koi can achieve optimal growth and development.
Quality Koi Company's 2010 Azukari(Keeping) Policy
Quality Koi Company, Inc. offers an Annual Insurance policy for Koi kept by Quality Koi after initial purchase.
Our policy covers: natural death, development of tumor, eaten by predators, or any body deformities.
Quality Koi Company offers our insurance as an annual policy. A separate policy must be purchased for each individual koi you would like to insure.
The policy will cover your koi from January 1st - December 31st.
If you decide to use your insurance, you will receive credit for the amount you paid for the koi and the keeping charges invested into the koi. Annual Insurance fees will not be included in the credit. The credit from an insurance claim can only be used for on koi purchases.
All decisions regarding the use of insurance must be made by December 31st of the year. After this date, that year’s policy will expire.
When Quality Koi Company, Inc. and our client enter into an agreement to grow a purchased koi for another year, we will offer our buyers an Annual Insurance policy for a premium, usually equal to the keeping fee for the size of the koi.
If our client chooses not to purchase the optional insurance policy for koi kept by Quality Koi Company, under no circumstance will we replace or refund cost of the koi in the event of any of the above instances.
All payments are due by January 1st in order for the koi to be covered under the Annual Insurance policy.
